Following a few simple rules will ensure this: Care taking off and putting them on, No heavy hand work while wearing your rings, Avoid applying lotions and perfumes as this will dull your silver and the stone set.

 I like to use Sunshine cloths ( found at RioGrande.com or Amazon.com) lighting keeping the silver clean and polished while taking in mind the areas that are meant to stay oxidized to enhance details of the work
